Elizabeth Rice Karns, 84, of Maryville, IL, passed away at 8:02 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, 2024 at Liberty Village of Maryville.
She was born Feb. 15, 1940 in Centralia, IL to the late Mary (Bailey) Rice Drake and Edward Rice.
Elizabeth spent her life as a Christian Educator, working for several churches throughout her career. Her passion was interior design and she loved to sew.
Survivors include 4 children: Marlene Rose of Kansas City, MO, Jonathan (Susan) Main also of Kansas City, MO, Alicia (Matthew) Yarbrough of St. Joseph, MO and Jeffrey (Stephanie) Karns of Highland, IL; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; a brother: Drake of LA, CA; and sister: Barbara Jarjoura of MD.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son: Christopher Main; and 2 grandchildren.
Memorial visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Mon. Nov. 25, 2024 at Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will be private at a later date.
