Doris Ella Huller, nee Riepshoff, age 85, was born August 10, 1939 in Highland, Ill., to Elmer and Vera, nee Stueber, Riepshoff. She passed away Monday evening, December 2, 2024 at her home at Charter Senior Living of Shiloh, Ill.
Doris was the daughter of a farmer and grew up in the country. She graduated from Highland High School and worked at a local sewing factory. Growing up, her children always had handmade pajamas. She married Darvin Huller in 1960 at the St. Clare Catholic Rectory, in O’Fallon, and at that time, she became an O’Fallon resident. Doris worked as a bookkeeper at the former Arthur J. Huller Ford, then later, she and her husband assumed the business, where she continued to work at Huller Ford and Huller Lawn, on S. Lincoln, until the age of 82. Doris and Darvin loved to dance, and they attended a dance somewhere every Saturday night, where they developed many friendships over the years. In their later years, they enjoyed camping, and their precious boxer Daisy was the joy in their home.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63+ years Darvin on August 7, 2024; her parents; sister Elvera McMichael; special aunt Evelyn (Vince) Frey; dear in-laws Mildred and Arthur Huller, Betty (Bob) Peters, and Shirley (Leo) Kohler.
