Jack Alan Muehlfelt, 69, of Swansea, IL, was born February 6, 1955, in Palatine, IL, died on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at Keystone Place in Glen Carbon, IL.
Jack was baptized, confirmed, and later married at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Palatine, IL. He attended Immanuel Lutheran School, William Fremd High School, as well as Iowa State University in Ames. He spent most of his career life in Oregon working for the Oregon Department of Transportation first as a Customer Service Manager for a DMV Field Office and later as a Developer/Analyst for ODOT Information Systems.
Jack was an avid motorcycle rider with an outgoing and gregarious personality. Jack married Paula Crosby on August 16, 1986. He and Paula moved to Swansea to be near family in 2016 after Jack retired. He enjoyed helping with the Seniors in Ministry Group at Zion Lutheran Church in Belleville, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Marilyn Muehlfelt; his mother-in-law, Barbara Crosby; sister-in-law, Marsha James (Richard); and a nephew, Justin James.
He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Paula; two sisters, Lynn Bibbiano (Charles) and his twin sister, Jill Hasstedt (Frederick); two brothers, Frank Muehlfelt (Karen) and Richard Muehlfelt (Marla); his father-in-law, James Crosby; a sister-in-law, Brenda Crosby (Jon Cunningham); his nephews and nieces, Katie Kohnke (Joseph), Christopher Bibbiano (Karen), Noah Muehlfelt (Kelci), Hannah Metz (Ryan), Aden Hasstedt, and Kenan Hasstedt; and his great-nephews and great-nieces, Ben, Samantha, Chase, and Sloane.

A graveside committal will take place at Union Cemetery in Palatine, IL at a later date.
