Ronald Raymond “Ron” Offt Jr., 44, of St. Louis, Missouri and formerly of Granite City, Illinois passed away on Friday, December 20, 2024, after a life of service to his community.
He was born April 30, 1980, in Baltimore, Maryland, the son of the late Ronald Raymon Offt Sr. and Kathleen M. (Lane) Offt.
Ron served as a police officer with the City of St. Louis with 16 years of dedicated service. He was a member of the Masonic DeMolay International and the Granite City Moose Lodge and was an avid gun enthusiast. He was a big fan of the St. Louis Blues and loved attending and making memories with his son Max.
He is survived by his beloved son, Maxwell Alexander Offt; his sister and brother-in-law, Jennifer and William White of Granite City; his uncle and aunt, Bradley and Paulette Lane of Granite City; other extended family; brothers and sisters in blue and many friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandparents, Ed and Shirley Lane.
A celebration of life gathering will be from 5 until 8 p.m. on Friday, December 27, 2024, at the Granite City Moose Lodge, 2521 Maryville Road in Granite City.
