Nina Lee Utley, 80, of Cahokia, Illinois passed away at 1:20 a.m. on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, at the Lakeland Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Effingham, Illinois. She was born September 8, 1944, in Cahokia, Illinois. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She enjoyed her days of dancing, coloring and watching birds.
She is survived by six children, Leona (Robert) Lester of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma, Leon (Angela) Utley of Granite City, Cindy Cantrell of Mulberry, Arkansas, Timmey (Vicki Welch) Utley of Highland, Mary Knick of Springfield, Missouri and William Causey of Shumway, Illinois; grandchildren, Jennifer Adkins, Shelby Utley, Jamie Utley, Melody Utley, Johnny Sprous, Tiffany Sprous, Jennifer Rose Morgan, Daisy Crumm, Crystal Goshe, Desira Knick, Christopher Knick, Dyland Causey, Chance Causey and Jazzlynn Causey-Keller; many great grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; two step-brothers, Jerry Aubuschon and James Aubuschon; other extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter Tina Delker and a granddaughter, Betsy Cantrell. In celebration of her life, a visitation will be at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City on Saturday, January 4, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until time of a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery on Maryville Road in Granite City.
