Marion Graminski

Marion E. Graminski (nee Carson), 86, of O’Fallon, IL, born on September 4, 1938, in Belleville, IL, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2024, at Dammert Geriatric Center in Belleville, IL.

Marion was a faithful Catholic, a beloved “den mother” to the neighborhood Kemp family and friends of the siblings, and a spectacular Blitz card player. All except for the one time the family staged a coup by setting the cards up for a Blitz run by the other players in the hand – how could that have happened when she just went for a bathroom break?

She had a green thumb, indoor plants (African Violets) and outdoor plants (amazing tomatoes)! She was an aquarium enthusiast and pet owner of a cherished Dachshund, Lala, Cocker Spaniel, Allie, and the Shitzu siblings, Willie and Susie. She loved her cup of morning coffee and Woods Bakery donuts! Marion looked forward to the summer church picnic dinner at St. Francis in Teutopolis, watching the grandkids sports events, and spending time at the Lake of the Ozarks. But most of all, Marion was a loving wife, supportive mother, and a cherished grandmother.

Marion was preceded in death by her parents, Dave and Irene Carson (nee Schobert); her beloved husband, William Graminski; and two brothers, Dave and Ross Carson.

Left to cherish Marion’s memory are her six children, Michael (Melody) Graminski of Collinsville, IL, Cynthia (Ted) Weber of Fairfax, VT, Linda (James) Mackey of O’Fallon, IL, Gary (Patty) Graminski of Summerfield, IL, David Graminski of O’Fallon, IL, Andrew Graminski of O’Fallon, IL; one sister, Nathalie Reno of O’Fallon, IL; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
