Janet Lee Harman, 86, of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 2:20 p.m. on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at San Gabriel Memory Care in Highland.
She was born December 6, 1938, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Granite City, the daughter of the late Bill and Noma (Grimes) McAmish.
Janet was a longtime member of St. Peter Evangelical Church of Christ and a current member of Nameoki United Methodist Church in Granite City. She will be remembered for the love and special times shared with her family.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Brenda Harman of Titusville, Florida and Todd and Lisa Harman of St. Jacob, Illinois; five grandchildren, Ryan, Jacob, Jessica, Cody and Shannon Harmon; five great grandchildren, Liam, Mason, C.J., Alec and Emma ; other extended family and friends.
In addition to her beloved husband, James Harman, who passed away on April 14, 2006, she was preceded in death by a brother, William McAmish.
In celebration of her life, a visitation will be at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, from 11 a.m. until time of a funeral service at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon.
