Alice M. Cannady, nee Sehr, 96, of Belleville, IL, born November 21, 1928, in St. Louis, MO, died Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows St. Francis Assisted Living.
Alice was a retired Real Estate Broker who owned her own company, Cannady & Associates. She was a member of St. Augustine of Canterbury Catholic Church, Belleville, IL.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Leland R. “Mike” Cannady, whom she married on March 10, 1951, at St. Peter’s Cathedral, Belleville, IL, and who died on July 26, 2014; her parents, James M. and Adele C., nee Mank, Sehr; two great-granddaughters, Kya Kapur and Hudson Matakaetis; and a brother, Norman “Jack” Sehr; and a niece Mary Alice Sehr Pontious.
Surviving are 11 children, Patricia (Thomas) Stevens, of Stuart, FL, Michael (Susan) Cannady, of Belleville, IL, Donna (Doug) Bradley, of Santa Barbara, CA, Marcia (Dave) Brauer, of Waterloo, IL, Steven (Sheree) Cannady, of Belleville, IL, Thomas (Sue) Cannady, of Belleville, IL, Randy (Laura) Cannady, of Mt. Zion, IL, Lee Cannady, of Belleville, IL, Terese (Rick) McKnight, of Monroe Center, IL, Gerald “Joe” (Jamie) Cannady, of Jerseyville, IL and William (Jackie) Cannady; DeForest, WI, many dear grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at St. Augustine of Canterbury Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, with MSGR. William McGhee officiating.
Burial will follow at Green Mount Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
