Theodore “Ted” Narvaez, age 73, of Madison, IL, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City, IL. Ted was born on September 3, 1951, in St. Louis, MO, a son of the late Atenedoro and Mary Avila Narvaez.
Ted proudly served his country with honor in the United States Marines. He was a member of Amvets Post 204 in Madison, IL and a former member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Madison, IL.
Ted was a talented sheet metal worker, and he worked all over the United States in the construction trade. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed camping, bow hunting and playing a few rounds of golf with his friends. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, whom he loved dearly. Ted will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, Ted was preceded in death by one brother, Roberto Narvaez; and by three sisters, Esther Narvaez, Christine Narvaez and Lisa Allen.
He is survived by his dear siblings, Fernando Narvaez of Granite City, IL, Maria Narvaez of Granite City, IL and Rebecca Narvaez of Madison, IL; proud grandpa to Jordan and Hunter; many nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
In celebration of his life, a visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Irwin Chapel, Granite City, IL. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. on Saturday, with his niece, Pastor Elaina Kopppa officiating.
Memorial donations may be given to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation.
