Judith Mildred Evans, nee Fischer, 78, of Smithton, IL, born August 5, 1946, in Belleville, IL, died Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Friendship Village, Sunset Hills, MO.
Judy was a teacher at Belle Valley School and later at Smithton Elementary until her retirement. She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Smithton, IL, and the Smithton Lion’s Club.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Albert R. Evans, whom she married on June 13, 1970, at St. John’s United Church of Christ, Smithton, IL, and who died on August 17, 2019; and her parents, Gilbert and Ethel, nee Behn, Fischer.
She is survived by her two sons, Aaron (Kim) Evans and Jason (Shara) Evans; four grandchildren, Jake (Ava) Evans and Rachel, Ella, and Avery Evans; two sisters, Alice (Norm) Krueger and Rita (Tim) Kehl; and nieces and nephews.
