Linda Elaine Bone, 82, of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 7:19 p.m. on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis.
She was welcomed in Heaven by her loved ones gone before her. Linda was born March 6, 1942, in St. Louis, the daughter of the late Harold L. and Veda (Pyles) McClelland.
She married the love of her life, Kenneth Sherman Bone on February 7, 1958, in Granite City and he passed away on December 23, 2015.
She retired from St. Elizabeth Hospital in Granite City after 25 years of dedicated service as a medical transcriptionist in the Radiology department. She was a faithful member of Tri-City Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed her days of crocheting, needlepoint, embroidery and reading. Linda cherished her family and loved special times shared with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be remembered for her love and compassion and always taking care of others throughout her life.
She is survived by a son, Darren K. Bone of Granite City; three grandchildren, Kenneth and Heather Bone, Kelly and John Phillips and Nicholas Bone; three great grandchildren, Logan Bone, Jackson Phillips and Luke Phillips; nieces and nephews; other extended family and friends.
In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son and daughter-in-law, Scott A. and Janice Bone.
In celebration of her life, a visitation will be held at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until time of a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Barry Shepherd officiating.
Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon.
Memorials may be made to Tri-City Assembly of God Church and may be accepted at the funeral chapel.
