Sherry Cole died on January 23, 2025.
Sherry was born Mar. 7, 1944, in Champaign, IL. Sherry was a bright spot for every person she met. She was a kind and compassionate woman and had a great sense of humor. One of her true joys was her dog Spencer who went everywhere with her. Heaven has gotten a new angel.
She loved to work puzzles and was a lifelong member of the American Legion Auxiliary i in Mansfield.
Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Joan (Pendleton) Welch; brother, Barry Welch; and son, Jeff Cole (Tammy).
Surviving are her daughter, Lisa Cole; brother, Michael Welch (Elsie); sister-in-law, Laura Welch; granddaughter, Cylie (Jake) Moody; great-grandson, Jameson Moody; and her uncle Maurice (Mary Jane) Pendleton. Sherry is also survived by many, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Memorial BJC Hospice, the BJC Foundation, P.O. Box 790369, St. Louis, MO 63179-9917 or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
A Celebration of Life and private funeral will be held at a future date in the Mansfield Cemetery, Mansfield, IL.
