Arlene M. Wilke, age 96, of Collinsville, IL, born February 27, 1928, in Edwardsville, IL, peacefully passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2025 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL.
Arlene was a former member of St. John Lutheran Church in Maryville and attended services at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Collinsville. She enjoyed baking, playing cards, working in the yard, and reading, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin H. Wilke; parents, Louis Buesking Sr. and Dora (nee Auman) Buesking; a brother, Louis Buesking, Jr.; two sisters: Bernice Hecht and Valeria Radas; and a son-in-law, David Walmer.
Surviving are her three sons: Rick (Debbie) Wilke of St. Louis, MO, Randy (Kelley) Wilke of Collinsville, IL, and Mark (Sandy) Wilke of Troy, IL; two daughters: Marlene Walmer of Pueblo, CO and Patti (Randy) Hensler of Maryville, IL; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home in Maryville, IL.
Funeral service will follow at 12 p.m. with Rev. Andrew Packer officiating. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery, Edwardsville, IL.
Memorials may be made to the Maryville Food Pantry, the Maryville Community Library or the Collinsville Senior Center and will be received at the visitation or can be mailed to Barry Wilson Funeral Home, 2800 N. Center Street, Maryville, IL 62062.
