John Ainsworth, 69, of Belleville, IL, born October 5, 1955, in Belleville, IL, died Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL.
John was a very talented artist in his high school years at Althoff Catholic and won many awards there before graduating. He enjoyed watching television and specifically enjoyed old westerns. Above all, John was a family man. He devoted eight years of his life to taking care of his mom during her fight with Alzheimer’s. John was a United States Air Force veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis E. and Joan, nee Balzer, Ainsworth; and granny, Marie Balzer.
John is survived by two brothers, Jerry (Vicki) Ainsworth, and Michael (Kris) Ainsworth; his sister, Mary (David) Baldree; and many dear nieces and nephews.

Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday, February 7, 2025, at St. Peter’s Cathedral Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, with Fr. Godfrey Mullen, OSB officiating.
Burial will be at Green Mount Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
