Charles Keith Bland, 77, of Maryville, IL, died at DePaul Hospital, Bridgeton, MO on Monday, February 3, 2025 at 10:59 a.m.
He was born July 21, 1947, in Alton, IL to Charles Bland & Alice Landreth Bland. He married Linda Joann Quattlander Bland.
He was retired after having been an auditor for the IRS. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force after having served during Vietnam. Charles enjoyed swing dancing, traveling, history, the outdoors and being with his family.
He is survived by his spouse, Linda Bland of Maryville, IL, children, Lindsey (Broderick) Lawson of St. Charles, MO, Shawn (Sarah) Bland of Maryville, IL, grandchild, Brooks Bland, brother in law, Marlin (Jill) Quattlander of Nokomis, IL and several nieces and nephews.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Gary Bland, sisters, Joyce Brownfield and Jackie Whitlock.
Friends may call on Monday, February 10, 2025 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Wood River from 9 until 11 a.m.
Funeral services are Monday, February 10, 2025 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Wood River. Burial will be at Bunker Hill Cemetery, Bunker Hill, IL.
