Jeanne Schrader, nee McDiermon, 71, of Freeburg, IL, born April 5, 1953, in East St. Louis, IL, died Saturday, February 15, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her family.
Jeanne worked as a registered nurse for a total of 42 years and truly loved what she did. She started her career at the Visiting Nurse Association, she then worked private duty and finally retired from Memorial Home Care, after 27 years. Jeanne had a passion and gift for crafting whether it was scrapbooking, sewing, crocheting, knitting, homemade cards, or specialized jewelry. She truly loved creating memorable thoughtful gifts for her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John T. and Marian L., nee Truttman, McDiermon.
Surviving are her loving husband of 49 years, Mike Schrader, whom she married on April 12, 1975; her daughter, Angie (Jason) Shinn; her son, Daniel (Lindsey) Schrader; four grandchildren, Jacob Schrader-Morss, Cora Schrader, Easton Shinn and Abigail Schrader; her brother, Thomas (Cathy) McDiermon; her sister, Mary (Edward) Oetjen; sisters-in-law, Susan Wunning and Yvonne Bloom; and seven nieces and nephews, Joseph, Eric, Laura, Stephanie, Sarah, Andy, and Johnny.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, February 21, 2025, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Freeburg, IL.
Funeral: Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, February 21, 2025, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Freeburg, IL with Msgr. William McGhee officiating.
Burial will follow at Green Mount Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
