Darbin Dumonceaux, 71, of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 7:50 p.m. on Monday, March 3, 2025, at Christian Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
He was born August 30, 1953, in Mille Lacs, Minnesota, a son of the late George Remy and Marcyanna (Chmielewski) Dumonceaux.
He married Laura J. (Falkenbury) Dumonceaux on November 24, 2006, in O’Fallon, Illinois and she survives.
He retired from Temple Inland in Fenton, Missouri after many years of dedicated service as a logistics supervisor. Darbin proudly served his country with the United States Air Force as a Master Sergeant. He enjoyed his days of fishing, playing poker and being with his grandchildren and will be remembered for the love and special times shared with his family and friends.
In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by six children and spouses, Kristin and Dean Martin of Maryville, Illinois, Nicole Hicklin of Columbia, Missouri, Crystal Wyatt of O’Fallon, Illinois, Kelly and Aaron Saggio of O’Fallon, Illinois, Kimberly and Mike Wyatt-Grogan of Granite City, Illinois and Tim Crumley of Godfrey, Illinois; eleven grandchildren and spouses, McKayla and Evan Stanley, Caitlin and Sebastian Martinez, Lillian Reed, Ethan Hicklin, Memphis Wyatt, Joseph Saggio, Jason Saggio, June Saggio, Emilee Saggio, Levi Grogan and Trevor Grogan; a great grandson, Nicholas Stanley; two brothers and spouses, Gary and Paulette Dumonceaux of Springfield, Illinois and Bruce and Toni Dumonceaux of Springfield, Illinois; a sister-in-law, Kathi Dumonceaux of Minnesota; many nieces and nephews; other extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Marc Dumonceaux and two sisters, Carol Bourland and Cindy Crumley.
In celebration of his life memorial visitation will be at the VFW Post 805, 223 West First Street, O’Fallon, Illinois on Saturday, March 8th from 1:30 p.m. until time of memorial service at 2:00 p.m.
