Patricia Prickett

Patricia Carol Prickett, nee Weilmuenster, age 88, of Keystone Place at Richland Creek in O’Fallon, Ill., born November 23, 1936 in East St. Louis, Ill., passed away March 6, 2025.

Patricia grew up in East St. Louis, Ill., and graduated from East St. Louis High School in 1954. She married Joseph C. “Cliff” Prickett, Jr. February 15, 1963 in Belleville, Ill., and he preceded her in death May 31, 2022. She worked as an executive assistant for upper management for Monsanto. She had lived with her husband in Saudi Arabia, Spain, Costa Rica, Las Vegas, and Ormond Beach, Fla., before resettling in O’Fallon after her husband’s death. She enjoyed her friends and time at Keystone Place. Patricia and Cliff had travelled extensively, volunteered for the National Parks Service, helped run the Wishbone Restaurant in Belleville for many years, enjoyed many cruises, and together, they skydived on her 80th birthday. Patty and Cliff made many dear friends while living at the Van Lee Condominiums in Florida for 20+ years. At the age of 70, Patty ran and finished the Honolulu Marathon (her first), with her husband Cliff, who was a marathon veteran.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents Alex and Elsie Weilmuenster; son David Prickett, granddaughter Ella Prickett, sister Glenna (Bill) McQueen; brother Homer Weilmuenster, sister-in-law Karen (Rich) Valle; and son-in-law Chris Roberts. 

Survivors include her daughter Vicki Roberts of Salem, Ill.; son Mark Komoromi of O’Fallon, Ill.; former daughters-in-law Monica Komoromi and Laurie (Randy) Uebinger; brother Mike (Nancy) Weilmuenster; grandchildren Cody Michael (friend Tara) Komoromi, Katie Komoromi, Zak (Tiffany) Komoromi, and Hannah (Mack) Priest; great-grandchildren Evelyn and Scarlett; nieces Richelle and Holly, and nephew Logan. 

Memorial donations are suggested to the National Parks Foundation (www.nationalparks.org). Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.wfh-ofallon.com.

The family will gather at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, 102 W. Washington St., O’Fallon, Ill., on Monday, March 17, 2025 for a visitation from 10:30 – 11:30 am. Procession will depart the funeral home at 11:40 am for a graveside service at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo., where both Cliff and Patricia will be laid to rest.
