Thomas “Phillip” Cagle, 75, died Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Jefferson Barracks VA Hospital, where he had only been a patient for two days. Phil had stage four lung cancer for the past year.
Phil was a devoted husband, married 33 years to the love of his life, Kim. He served eleven years in the United States Air Force and retired from the VA Medical Center, St. Louis, MO. Phil spent the past 43 years working the twelve steps of Alcoholics Anonymous, sponsoring many and guiding them through the Big Book. Phil’s life was a spiritual journey, he held Bible Study every Saturday at 3 p.m. at the 623 Club. He loved teaching the Bible and would talk about scripture with anyone interested.
Phil touched so many lives through Alcoholics Anonymous, his family of friends will celebrate his beautiful life starting at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 15, 2025, at the 623 Club, 120 North 3rd Street, Belleville, IL.
