Pauline Presley, age 88, of Granite City, IL, passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at her son’s home in Troy, IL, with her loving family by her side. Pauline was born on February 4, 1937, in Paducah, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Paul and Opal Snyder.
On April 16, 1965, Pauline Snyder married Boyd B. Presley, the love of her life in Granite City, IL., and Boyd passed away on February 16, 2023. Pauline was a faithful member of Grace Baptist Church in Granite City, IL, for over 50 years. She retired from the Granite City Clerks office as a deputy clerk after many years of dedicated service. Pauline enjoyed shopping and was an amazing cook, and she always enjoyed cooking delicious meals for her family. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. Pauline will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Pauline is survived by her loving son, Boyd B. (Carolyn) Presley Jr., of Troy, IL, dear brother, John (Judy) Snyder, proud grandmother to Ty B. Presley, Brynn Presley and Breck Presley, extended family and friends.
In celebration of her life, the visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Irwin Chapel, Granite City, IL. The funeral service will follow on Thursday, at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Daniel Wilson officiating. Pauline will be laid to rest next to her husband at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates, Glen Carbon, IL.
Memorial donations may be given to Parkinson Foundation or American Cancer Society. Donations will be accepted at the funeral chapel.
