James Turner Harris, 83, of Granite City, IL, died at 3:35 p.m. Tues. Mar. 11, 2025 at Elmwood Nursing & Rehab in Maryville, IL.
He was born May 27, 1941 in St. Louis, MO to the late James Henry and Roberta (Turner) Harris.
James served in the U.S. Army Reserve. He retired from Defense Mapping of St. Louis as a cartographer after more than 35 years of service. James had attended the Methodist church in Highland, IL.
He is survived by 2 daughters: Elizabeth “Liz” Cicio of Granite City and Jessica Harris of Columbia, MO; 5 grandchildren: Kourtney and Dominic Cicio, Francesca Araya and Anya and Asher Langsdorf; and a sister.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter: Jennifer Turner Saeed; former spouse and friend: JoElla (Radaford) Harris and a sister.
