Thomas George Gauch, 74, of Freeburg, IL, born October 5, 1950, in Belleville, IL, died Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL.
Thomas was a member of the Farm Bureau, Freeburg School Board, Chairman of the Young Farmers Committee, the Chairman of the St. Clair County Extension, Soil Conservation Board and FSA Committee for 12 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Washington and Rita, nee Rapp, Gauch; Father and Mother-in-law, Kenneth R. and Vida M., nee Huwer, Kamper; and brother-in-law Kenneth Joseph.
Surviving are his loving wife of 54 years, Laura K., nee Kamper, Gauch, whom he married on September 11, 1971; his three children, Ronald T. (Mandy) Gauch, Sara (Craig) Wichern, and James T. (Sarah) Gauch; nine grandchildren, Andrew (Kristi) McDonald, Morgan, Macy, Josh Gauch, Reese, Conner, Kenna Wichern, Lincoln and Lyla Gauch;
six siblings, Robert (Evelyn) Gauch, Barbara Joseph, Joan Brickey, Donald (Jane) Gauch, Judy (Jim) White, and Susan (Leo) Dufrenne; and many dear nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at Turkey Hill Grange, Belleville IL. Visitation starts at 11 a.m. with a Memorial Service at 12 noon, followed by lunch social.
