Robert Telford Green, 62, of O’Fallon, IL, died Tuesday, March 18, 2025 in his home, surrounded by his family.
Robert was born on March 23, 1962 in Angleton, TX. He grew up in nearby Lake Jackson, TX, received his college degree from Texas A&M University where he was a proud member of their Corps of Cadets (Gig ‘em!!). After college he joined the Air Force and became a KC-135 Navigator, along the way earning his MBA from Embry Riddle University. He retired from the Air Force in 2010 after 25 years of service as a Lt. Col., and then continued in the Civil Service for another 14 years. His travels in the military took him to all seven continents, and almost every country.
Proud as he was of his Air Force career, Robert was most proud of his family. He and his wife, Cathy, celebrated their 36th anniversary this year. Their five children are his pride and joy. He could and would brag on each of them for their various accomplishments and goals. He was their biggest cheerleader and so loved the adults they’ve become. He will be missed on so many levels. He was, truly, a good man.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Dolores, nee Svetlik, Green, and his sister, Annette Hallmark.
Surviving are his wife Cathy, nee Douglas; his five children Mark of Cheyenne, WY, Steven of O’Fallon, Matthew (Rachael) of Colorado Springs, CO, Laura of O’Fallon and Luke of O’Fallon; his sister Christine (Josh) Flynt.
