Michael Robert Voellinger, 77, born August 18, 1947, passed away March 21, 2025, in his Belleville home with his family at his side. He was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
Mike graduated from St. Augustine of Canterbury Grade School, Althoff Catholic High School, and McKendree College. He served in the United States Army in Thailand during the Vietnam War. He retired from Grey Eagle Distributers in 2012. He was an avid sportsman. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, parachuting, target shooting, and riding his Yamaha motorcycle with his fellow Moose Riders. He was a member of the Belleville/Swansea Moose Lodge #1221 and Moose Legion #101.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Robert John and Dolores M. nee Rhode, Voellinger; his faithful dog, Archer; and a friend of many years, Ed Willet.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Deborah Voellinger, nee Williams, whom he married on April 4, 1998; his son, James (Sarah) Williams; his daughter, Jennifer (William) Karius; five grandchildren, Emma Williams, Lucy Williams, Grace Williams, Tessa Karius, and Will Karius; a sister, Barbara Voellinger; a brother, Robert (Geri) Voellinger; a niece, Melissa (Andrew) Joost and a great-nephew, Henrick Joost; a nephew, Robert (Sarah) Voellinger and a great-niece, Daphne Voellinger.

Funeral: Funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 28, 2025, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.
Burial will follow at Green Mount Catholic Cemetery.
