Maria Theresa Lang, nee Truong, age 33, born August 15, 1991 in Maryland, passed away Thursday evening, March 27, 2025 at Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Mo., following complications from childbirth.
She is the beloved wife of David John Lang, II; and the mother of Catherine Sarah Lang and Adelynn Rosalie Lang, all of O’Fallon, Ill.
Maria Theresa grew up in Georgia, where she attended community college. She earned her B.S. in Biochemistry from Maryville University and graduated from the former St Louis College of Pharmacy (UHSP). She was a devoted wife and mother. She was a self-employed gifted artisan, selling her homemade crafts and dolls online. As a child, she played the violin and learned the importance of her Catholic faith; Maria Theresa loved unconditionally and would give of herself to help others. She volunteered as a parent at Holy Childhood School in Mascoutah.
In addition to her husband and daughters, she is survived by her father Luan Kinh Truong; step-mother Hoang Oanh Nguyen; mother Lieu Nguyen; brothers John Truong, MichaelJoseph Nguyen-Truong, and JohnGabriel Nguyen-Truong. She was preceded in death by her sister MariaRaphaella Nguyen-Truong.

Visitation will be held 5-8 pm, Thursday, April 3, 2025 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, 102 W. Washington St., O’Fallon, Ill.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am, Friday, April 4, 2025 at St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church, 1411 Cross St., O’Fallon, Ill., with Rev. James Deiters presiding.
To acknowledge Maria Theresa’s favorite colors, Catherine wants you to wear pink or purple to the church.
Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Shiloh, Ill.
