Barbara Ann Johnson, 90, of Granite City, IL, died at 4:46 p.m. Fri. Mar. 28, 2025 at Evercare at University in Edwardsville, IL.
She was born June 15, 1934 in Granite City to the late Jesse and Marie (Stimpson) Rainwater.
On May 16, 1951, she and Arthur Francis Johnson were married in Tempe, TX. He preceded her in death.
Barbara loved life. She had been a lifelong member and loved attending Trinity United Methodist Church and going to the beach with her husband Art. She enjoyed crocheting, line dancing, and doing the jitter bug.
She is survived by 3 sons, Kerry and Becky Johnson, Terry and Kim Johnson and Jeff Johnson all of Granite City, 9 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and a sister, Jo Maire Bywater Ellis.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Donna Lynn Johnson and Krissie and Mark Hale, a daughter-in-law, Judy Johnson, a brother, Lanny Rainwater, and a sister, Gloria Johnson.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at 11:00 a.m. Fri. Apr. 4, 2025 at Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights, IL.
Memorial may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 25th and Henry, Granite City, IL.
