Daryl “Joe” Joseph Cook, 70, of Swansea, IL, born June 10, 1954, in Belleville, IL, died Friday, March 28, 2025, at his residence with his family by his side.
Joe worked as a transit truck driver for Auffenberg. His love for cars started at a young age, he worked for many car shops prior to Auffenberg and never looked back. He was very organized and took pride in keeping a perfect yard. Joe could often be seen on his tractor with his dog, Charlie, on his lap. Joe enjoyed watching NCIS and Bones. His favorite past times were all the hours spent working on cars and building different projects with his daughters and a late brother.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David W. and Marcella M., nee McMurtrey, Cook; and two brothers, Robert and Gary Cook.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Molla Cook, nee Hough; two daughters, Kati Lin (Jessica Pierce) Cook and Jennalee Marie (Michael Wagner) Cook;
his sister, Karla (Kevin) Zike; a sister-in-law, Barb Cook; and dear nieces and nephews.
