Dorothy Lynn Mann, 66, of Granite City, IL, died Sun. Apr. 6, 2025 at Christian Hospital Northeast in St. Louis, MO.
She was born Aug. 18, 1958 in Granite City to the late Harry Albert and Emma (Cook) Mann.
Dorothy worked as a C.N.A., starting in high school, for over 40 years at Stearns Nursing and Rehab. She loved to cook and go to the casino. Purple was her favorite color and she loved to help others. Dorothy had hoped to return to Stearns as a volunteer to continue her passion of caring. She also loved quilts that her niece, Pat Ray Hannan, made and they also enjoyed researching genealogy.
In addition to her niece, she is survived by her companion, Phil Richardson, of Granite City, a sister, Geraldine Mann Thiesen of St. Louis, MO and, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Robert Ray, and Robert Mann, and 2 sisters, Helen Mann Morehouse, and Irma Mann Harriett.
The family will hold a celebration of Dorothy’s life later in the summer.
