Albert Hunter Jr., age 78, of Collinsville, Il, born on February 6, 1947 in St. Louis, Mo., died on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at his home with his family.
Albert was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran. He was a commercial bus driver for 38 years with Vandalia Bus Lines in Caseyville, IL. His hobbies were raising fish, plants, and playing baritone saxophone. Albert loved his family and getting together at family events.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Zola, nee Mallory, Hunter; and his sister, Betty Hunter.
Albert is survived by his wife, Shirley A. Daniels; his daughters, April Heflin of Edwardsville, IL, and Jackie Hunter of St. Louis, MO; his sons, Corey Hunter of St. Louis, MO, and James Aaron (fiance Bailey Watson) Hodge of Edwardsville, IL; his stepdaughters, Terri (Stephen) Anderson of Caseyville, IL, and Patricia A. (Andrew) Hayes of Ft. Collins, CO. He is also survived by many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Memorial visitation will be on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, IL, with military honors at 5:30 p.m.
Celebration of Life will be Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary Chapel.
