Boston Drew Johnson, age 17, much-loved son of Chrissy and Jim, little brother of Braden, all of O’Fallon, Ill., passed away in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his favorite people, on Wednesday morning, May 7, 2025.
Boston was born a happy, healthy baby who grew into a sweet little boy full of personality. He loved any kind of ball, his favorite blanket, and the Brown Bear book.
Boston was devastatingly diagnosed with Batten Disease at the age of 3. Despite all his adding challenges over the years, he enjoyed just being a part of his family’s everyday life. Camping, traveling, going to big brother’s football games, and any social gathering with family and friends would lay a big smile on his face.
Boston taught those around him more than he could have ever been taught. His strength and spirit will not be forgotten.
In addition to his parents James and Crystal, nee Meravy, Johnson, and his brother Braden, Boston is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Sharon K. Small, John H. Meravy, James D. Johnson, Jr., and Sandra Adams.
A visitation to celebrate the life and memory of Boston will be held from 1 – 5 pm, Sunday, May 18, 2025 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, 102 W. Washington St., O’Fallon. Special remarks will be offered by family members at 4:30.
