Ellen R. “Sis” Bohnemeier, nee Griebel, 99, of Fairview Heights, IL, born Saturday, November 7, 1925, in Belleville, IL, passed away Friday, May 9, 2025 at The Colonnade in O Fallon, IL.
Sis retired from Quality Cleaners in Belleville where she worked as a Manager for over 40 years. She was a life-long member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Belleville where she sang in the choir and participated in the Fireside Club. She was a member of American Business Woman, Ladies Guild, Belleville Senior Citizen’s Club, and the Belleville Swansea Moose Lodge #1221. She also volunteered for Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.

Services: Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday May 14, 2025 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, IL with Rev. Kerry Turk officiating. Interment immediately following at Lake View Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights, IL.
