Doloris Nona Ellen Nord (nee Huling), 98, born June 29, 1926, in Belleville, IL, died Saturday, May 10, 2025, at her home at The Colonnade Senior Living, O’Fallon, IL.
She is survived by her two daughters, Nancy (Robert) Reifschneider and Donna (Thomas) Bell; two granddaughters, Elizabeth Reifschneider and Lauren Gibson; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Nord, Jr.; her parents, Philip and Dona (nee Scott) Huling; her beloved grandchild, Jonathan Gibson; and seven siblings, Lester, Viola, Norval, Elvin, Oral, Velma, and Milton.
Doloris worked as a legal secretary and as a manager at AT&T Long Lines in Belleville for 26 years. She retired at 62 to pursue her many hobbies and pastimes.
She loved big band and swing music, was a member of the Sweet Adelines, and particularly enjoyed dancing with Ted. She and Ted also enjoyed camping, boating and water skiing. She was also an avid bridge player. She was an Illinois artisan who hand-painted many beautiful porcelain plates, vases and other items, which were sold at Rend Lake and other shops in the metro area. She enjoyed the company of her numerous friends, many of whom she was close to for over 50 years, but who have sadly passed before her.

Funeral: Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, with Rev. Cari Frus officiating.
Burial will be at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
