Mary Ann Kohl, nee Glauber, 86, of Belleville, IL, born September 5, 1938, in East St. Louis, IL, died Monday, May 19, 2025, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, O’Fallon, IL.
Mary Ann was a graduate of St. Teresa Academy and Maryville College. She taught first and second grade, assisted at OMI Kings House of Retreat in Belleville.
Mary Ann married her husband, Richard, in 1970 and they worked together for many years at their business, Kohl Heating & Cooling/sheet metal until his passing in 1999. She continued the business until it closed.
Mary Ann always loved to travel. She and Richard traveled the world and enjoyed having family and friends join them. She also loved dining out, St. Louis Cardinal baseball, Illini basketball games, golf, bowling, and many spectator sports. She has always been very generous and involved in the Catholic faith and was currently a member and Corpus Christi Church, Shiloh, IL. Mary Ann has been loved and will be missed by many.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard G. Kohl; her parents, Wilfrid B. and Mary E., nee Wakefield, Glauber; and her brother, Michael A. Glauber.
She is survived by two sons, Michael (Mary Denice) Kohl and Ricky Kohl; two daughters, Rita Kohl and Kathy Kohl; six grandchildren, including Michael Gabriel (Miriam) Kohl and Jessica (Sam) Licardo; her siblings, Charles J. Glauber (Mary Frances), Margaret (Michael) Herr, Susan Brooks, Michael Glauber deceased (Mary Lou), and Betty Bolt deceased (Robert); numerous nieces and nephews, Chris Glauber, Marcella (James) Montgomery, Ben (Julie) Brooks, Mary E. Brooks, William E. Smith, Mallory and Vivek Kuppusamy, Melissa (Chris) Trotter, Anne Marie (Josh) Pickett, TJ (LouAnn) Bolt, Beth Bolt Green, Stephen (Brandi) Bolt; many great nieces, great nephews, and cousins; and many other family members and friends.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, and 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Shiloh, IL.
Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Shiloh, IL, with Fr. Paul Weinhoff officiating.
Burial will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Shiloh, IL.
