Arthur A. “Art” Schreiber, 75, of Sunrise Beach, Missouri and formerly of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 9:45 a.m. on Memorial Day, Monday May 26, 2025, at the Harry Truman V.A. Memorial Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.
He was born July 11, 1949, in Granite City, Illinois, a son of the late Arthur A. and Elanor (Richert) Schreiber.
The United States Air Force veteran proudly served his country for 22 years until his retirement as a Captain on September 30, 1989. He had served during the Vietnam War and was the recipient of many medals, awards and recognitions throughout his service.
He had received his Master’s Degree in city administration, was a computer enthusiast and enjoyed his days of camping and motorcycle riding.
He is survived by his longtime partner, Carly Richardson of Sunrise Beach, Missouri; three children, Arthur Schreiber, Gregory Schreiber and Mary Schreiber; a brother and sister-in-law, Doug and Robin Schreiber; a sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Joe Bodi; other extended family and friends.
In celebration of his life, a graveside service will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri on at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, June 6, 2025. Full Military honors will be rendered in honor of his service.
