Gloria Dolores Miles, nee Wicks, 93, of Belleville, IL, born Thursday, January 21, 1932, in East St. Louis, IL, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2025 at her residence in Belleville, IL surrounded by her loving family.
Gloria led a fulfilling career as a registered nurse, where she poured endless empathy, strength, and warmth into every patient she cared for. She was not only a skilled professional but was someone whose gentle spirit made even the hardest days a little lighter.
Outside of work, Gloria found joy in the simple miracles of life- a struggling dog finding a forever home, or a seed sprouting into bloom. Over the years, she rescued and loved countless dogs, offering them not just shelter, but a true family. Her yards were a sanctuary and showcase- full of vibrant flowers, winding vines, and the kind of peace only a garden can offer.
Those who knew Gloria will remember her generous heart, infectious laugh, and how she made everyone- human or animal- feel safe and loved.
