Jon Maxwell Rhodes Sr., 85, of Troy, IL, born Tuesday, May 14, 1940, in St. Louis, MO and passed away peacefully on Monday, June 2, 2025, at his home in Troy.
Jon was a faithful active member of Living Church of God in St. Louis, MO. His passion and work were restoring classic English cars. His classic car restorations have been shipped all over the world. He loved history and collecting historical items. Jon embraced family, influencing and teaching a strong work ethic.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Maxwell C. and Marguerite (nee Smith) Rhodes; and his 4 sisters.
Surviving is his wife, Kathleen (nee Neel) Rhodes; his children, Jon M. (Cindy) Rhodes of Union, MO, David (Marybeth) Hercules of Kirkwood, MO. Jennifer (Robin) Volke of Minooka, IL, Pamela (Barton) Nelson of West Union, IL and Mel (Stacey) Johnson III of Toney, AL; his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 7 pm on Monday, June 9, 2025, at Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, IL with Dr. Richard Franz officiating. Graveside services will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, June 10, at Mundis Cemetery, Marine, IL.
