Dalton Lawrence Vonderheide, 17, of Belleville, IL, born April 25, 2008, in Belleville, IL, passed away Monday, October 13, 2025, as a result of an automobile accident.
Dalton was a senior at Belleville Township High School West. He loved playing the drums and was a proud member of the Belleville West Marching Maroons percussion section. Dalton was a bright soul and put a bright light in everyone he came across. Ever since he was a young boy, Dalton had a love for giraffes. As he grew older, that love turned into working on cars, watching Anime, and working at Chick-Fil-A. Dalton was a wonderful son and big brother, and his little siblings were his best friends.
He was preceded in death by a great-grandmother, Dawn Sinclair; and a great-grandfather, Jerry Vonderheide.
Dalton is survived by his parents, Ashley Vonderheide and Henry (Jenny) Cole; three siblings, Ares, Skylar, and Zeke Cole; his maternal grandmother, Jessica Vonderheide; his paternal grandparents, Nancy and Henry Cole; two great-grandparents, Carol Vonderheide and Donald Sinclair; his girlfriend, Ember; his two best friends, Herbert and Gavin; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Burial will be at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
