Ronald Skiff, Jr. age 50 of Carlyle, passed away at his home on Friday, November 28, 2025.
Ron was born in Alton, Illinois on March 3, 1975, a son of Ronald Sr. and Tina (Courto) Skiff. He attended Roxana High School and later built a career in sales with Riverside Restorations. He had a passion for flying drones and capturing the world from above. Ron found pleasure in simple joys, like a quiet sunset by the lake or the roaring waves of the beach.
Ron is survived by his father, Ronald Skiff Sr. and fiancé Tracey Stammer; two children, Randy Skiff and Thayde Cooper; a brother, Michael Skiff; aunts and uncle, Brad and Susie Ridgeway, and Amy Ridgeway; his cousins, Brandon Ridgeway and Sharie Downer; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Tina Skiff; his stepmother, Sharon Skiff; his grandparents, Pat Courto, and Robert and Rosie Skiff; his uncles, Bruce Ridgeway and Richard Skiff; and a stepbrother, Dwayne Rexford.
A Memorial service will be held at Zieren Funeral Home, 1111 Clinton Street, Carlyle, IL on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 12:00 Noon. Visitation will be held at Zieren Funeral Home prior to the service, from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM.
