Granite City Man Charged With DUI, Causing False Fire Alarm


GRANITE CITY – A man from Granite City faces felony and misdemeanor charges after reportedly driving under the influence and pulling a fire alarm at his local police station.

Brandon O. Williams, 31, of Granite City, was charged on Nov. 20, 2025 with one count each of disorderly conduct, a Class 4 felony, and driving while under the influence, a Class A misdemeanor.

Williams allegedly drove a Chevrolet Traverse on East 23rd Street in Granite City on Oct. 10, 2025 while under the influence of alcohol.

Williams is additionally accused of transmitting a false alarm of a fire to the Granite City Fire Department on the same day after reportedly pulling a fire alarm at the Granite City Police Department while knowing there were no reasonable grounds to believe a fire existed at the time of the offense.

The case against Williams was presented by the Granite City Police Department, and he was ordered released from custody pending trial.

All individuals charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
