
GODFREY – Two individuals face felonies in Madison County after an alleged burglary and theft from a business in Godfrey.
Kevin D. Ingram III, 21, of St. Louis, and Maurice D. Brown Jr., 22, of East St. Louis, were both charged with Class 2 felony counts of burglary and Class 3 felony counts of retail theft over $300. Brown was charged on Jan. 7, 2026, while Ingram was charged the next day on Jan. 8 in two related cases.
Both allegedly knowingly entered The Dugout on Godfrey Road on Dec. 19, 2025 without authority and with the intent to commit a theft. The two are additionally accused of stealing certain merchandise from the establishment, including THC gummies and chocolates with an estimated value of over $300.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office presented both of the cases against Ingram and Brown, both of whom were ordered released from custody pending trial.
All individuals charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
