Shirley Mae Rinck, nee Koch, 83, of Millstadt, IL, born May 30, 1942, in Belleville, IL, died Monday, March 16, 2026, at Select Specialty Hospital, Town and Country, MO.
Shirley was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She worked at Dillards Department Store from 1991 until she retired in 2004. Shirley was a member of St. James Catholic Church, Millstadt, IL, and enjoyed volunteering at the church as well as quilting with the other church ladies. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. Purple was her favorite color. Shirley loved polka music. She enjoyed watching Molly B’s Polka Party on television and even saw Molly B live when she performed in the area. In her later years, when not out with family or friends, she could be found in her recliner on her phone or tablet checking obituaries or watching YouTube videos.
Shirley was always there for anyone who needed a helping hand and will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by a son, Gene John Rinck; her parents, Clarence and Leona, nee Juenger, Koch; brother Wayne Koch; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Kenny and Maryjean, nee Rinck, Dressler.
She is survived by her husband, Eugene J. Rinck; a daughter, Lisa Rinck; a son, Shawn Rinck; three grandchildren, Quynn, Caitlin, and Olive; and sister-in-law Pam Koch-Harris.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 26, 2026, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, March 27, 2026, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 27, 2026, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, with Msgr. Marvin Volk officiating.
Burial will be at Green Mount Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
