SOFTBALL
SOUTHWESTERN 20, MARYVILLE CHRISTIAN 2: Southwestern scored nine runs in the first, five in the second, and six in the third to take the win at home over Maryville.
Hannah Mary led the Piasa Birds with three hits and four RBIs, while Gabby Poole had three hits and an RBI. Sydney Timpe went all the way in the circle, striking out seven.
Southwestern is now 13-9, while the Lions slip to 2-10.
GRANITE CITY 11, MARQUETTE CATHOLIC 2: Granite City scored four runs in the first and sixth, along with three in the seventh, to take the win over Marquette.
Riley Carnahan had three hits for the Warriors, while Alexis Ruiz had two hits and four RBIs. Isabella Briagas went all the way in the circle, striking out five. Allie Weiner had a hit and two RBIs for the Explorers, while Bella Johnson had the only strikeout.
Granite is now 4-17, while Marquette goes to 6-9-1.
CALHOUN 16, WHITE HALL NORTH GREENE 1: Calhoun scored once in the first, three in the second, two in both the third and fourth, and eight in the fifth to win at North Greene’s park.
Carly Pohlman had a big day at the plate for the Warriors, with four hits and four RBIs, while Anabel Eilerman went all the way in the circle, striking out 11.
Calhoun is now 12-9, while the Spartans go to 7-17.
CARROLLTON 13, CARLINVILLE 3: After spotting Carlinville a 2-0 first-inning lead, Carrollton scored once in the second, four in the third, three in the fifth, and five in the sixth to take the road win at Loveless Park.
Kadyn Lake had two hits and an RBI for the Hawks, while Courtney Waldheuser had a hit and three RBIs. Brookelynn Elilerman went all the way inside the circle, striking out 12. Ashlyn Killam had a hit and two RBIs for the Cavaliers, while Hallie Gibson fanned 10 in the circle.
Carrollton is now 16-9-1, while Carlinville goes to 7-16.
COLLINSVILLE 16, EAST ST. LOUIS 1: Collinsville scored once in the first, twice in both the second and third, five times in the fourth, and six times in the fifth to defeat East St. Louis at the Jackie Joyner-Kersee Center.
Ava Muniz had two hits and two RBIs for the Kahoks, while Aubrey Bordoni struck out 14 in the circle. Jayonna Scott had the only hit for the Flyers, while Khayla Walker fanned three.
Collinsville is now 5-17, while East Side is now 1-16.
BELLEVILLE WEST 2, ALTON 1 (9 INNINGS): Kara Kramer doubled home Charli Coppernoll with the winning run in the bottom of the ninth as West pulled out a dramatic win over Alton at home.
Lilly Henkhaus had three hits to lead the Redbirds, while Sydney Moore went all the way in the circle, fanning six.
The Maroons are now 12-11, while Alton goes to 7-23.
BREESE CENTRAL 4, EAST ALTON-WOOD RIVER 1: Central took the lead in the third with a single run, but EAWR matched the run in the fifth to tie the game. The Cougars then scored three times in the sixth to take the win over the Oilers at Leroy Emerick Field.
Liberty Fry had two hits for EAWR, while Ellie Beechum struck out four in the circle.
Central is now 13-13, while the Oilers slip to 5-16.
CIVIC MEMORIAL 12, STAUNTON 3: CM trailed Staunton after six innings 2-1, but the Eagles broke the game open in the seventh by scoring 11 runs in taking the win on the road.
Allison Friedel led CM with four hits and three RBIs, while Grace Burton had three hits and two RBIs, and Zoey Hunt had three hits. Olivia Monroe went all the way inside the circle, striking out eight.
The Eagles are now 8-14, while the Bulldogs go to 10-9.
In the other games from the Thursday slate, Marissa-Coulterville won over new Athens 13-1, Red Bud shut out Sparta 4-0, Nashville won over Waterloo Gibault Catholic 10-0, Waterloo doubled up on Breese Mater Dei Catholic 10-5, Belleville East edged Edwardsville 4-3 in eight innings, Okawville won over Chester 9-2, and Columbia topped Salem 7-2.

TRIAD 6, JERSEY 0: London Looby had a brace (two goals), while Kamryn Bohnenestiehl, Harper Dinsmore, Jaden Sparks, and Stella York all scored as Triad took the three points from Jersey at Knights Field.
Payton Hartmann and Lauren Koberna shared the clean sheet in goal for the Knights, who are now 11-3-2, while the Panthers are now 4-16-0.
CIVIC MEMORIAL 2, MASCOUTAH 0: Landree Wallace and Aubrie Gruebner scored in each half to give CM the win over Mascoutah at Hauser Field.
Bryleigh Marshall had five saves in goal to record the clean sheet for the Eagles, who go to 8-8-1, while the Indians are now 6-13-0.
BELLEVILLE EAST 7, ALTON 1: Claire Delahanty had the lone strike for Alton, as the Redbirds fell to East at Public School Stadium.
Lyla Cowan made 12 saves in goal for the Redbirds, who are now 3-15-0, while the Lancers go to 12-5-1.
In other results from the Thursday fixtures, Columbia trounced Salem 10-1, Waterloo won over Highland 8-0, Chatham Glenwood shut out Granite City 3-0, Staunton won over Trenton Wesclin 4-1, Waterloo Gibault Catholic defeated Breese Central 5-1, and O’Fallon defeated Belleville West 2-1.
