FRIDAY’S RESULTS

CIVIC MEMORIAL 5, BREESE MATER DEI CATHOLIC 3: It was goals galore at Hauser Field, as Allie Kamp had a hat trick, and Landree Wallace had a brace (two goals) in CM’s win over Mater Dei.

Bryleigh Marshall made two saves in goal, while Carlina McGaughey made one save for the Eagles, who are now 5-8-1, while the Knights go to 7-11-1.

In other games played on Friday, Cor Jesu Academy Catholic of Affton, Mo., in south St. Louis County, won over visiting Edwardsville 8-2, Belleville West won its derby match over Belleville East 2-0, and Columbia won over Springfield Sacred Heart-Griffin Catholic 4-0.

SATURDAY’S RESULT

In the only match played involving an area team on Saturday, O’Fallon and Nerinx Hall Catholic of Webster Groves, Mo., played to a 1-1 draw.

BREESE CENTRAL 11, EAST ALTON-WOOD RIVER 1: Central scored three times in the first, second, and fifth innings, and twice in the fourth, to take the home win over EAWR.

Emily Fry had two hits for the Oilers, while Ellie Beechum struck out eight in a complete game inside the circle.

The Cougars are now 14-13, while EAWR goes to 5-17.

O’FALLON 12, CALHOUN 4: O’Fallon put up three runs in the first and sixth, four in the fifth, and two more in the seventh to take the win at Calhoun’s park.

Riley Pohlman had three hits for the Warriors and also struck out three while in the circle.

The Panthers are now 15-9, while Calhoun goes to 12-10.

RAYMOND LINCOLNWOOD 3, CARLINVILLE 1: Lincolnwood took the lead with a run in the fifth, but Carlinville tied the game in the top of the sixth. The Lancers scored twice in the home half of the sixth to win over the Cavaliers at home.

Hallie Gibson had the only hit, along with an RBI, for Carlinville, and also fanned 13 in a complete game in the circle.

Lincolnwood is now 12-10, while the Cavies slip to 7-17.

CARROLLTON 12, GRIGGSVILLE-PERRY 0: Carrollton scored three times in the first, once in the second, twice in the third, and six times in the fourth to take the win over visiting Griggsville-Perry.

Blake Driskill, Hadley Lake, and Brookelynn Eilerman all had two hits and two RBIs for the Hawks, with Kadyn Lake striking out six in a complete game in the circle.

Carrollton goes to 17-9-1, while the Tornadoes are now 2-12.

WATERLOO 3, CIVIC MEMORIAL 0: Waterloo scored single runs in the first, second, and fifth, and made them all stand up in taking the Mississippi Valley Conference win over visiting CM.

Kerrigan Loewen had both of the Eagles’ hits in the game, while Olivia Monroe struck out four inside the circle.

The Bulldogs are now 22-1, while CM is now 8-15.

NOKOMIS 22, FATHER MCGIVNEY CATHOLIC 12: Nokomis hit McGivney with six runs in the first and nine in the second en route to taking the home win.

Nora Manning had a hit and three RBIs for the Griffins.

The Redskins are now 6-14, while McGivney is 9-10.

GREENVILLE 8, PIASA SOUTHWESTERN 2: Greenville scored three runs in the first and third innings, along with two runs in the second, in their South Central Conference win over Southwestern at home.

Both Vivian Zurheide and Josie Hagen had two hits and an RBI each for the Piasa Birds, while Hannah Mary struck out three in throwing a complete game in the circle.

The Comets are now 22-4, while Southwestern is now 13-10.

MT. VERNON 7, TRIAD 4: After Triad scored all four of their runs in the second, Mt. Vernon scored two runs in the third, three in the fourth, and two more in the sixth to take the win over Triad.

Nemsky Chatham led the Knights with two hits and an RBI, while Abby Harper struck out six in the circle.

The Rams are now 16-5, while Triad goes to 16-10.

In other results from Friday’s slate, Belleville West won over Freeburg 9-4, Columbia nipped Salem 4-3, Mascoutah shut out Highland 6-0, and Red Bud got past Sparta 4-2.

SATURDAY’S RESULTS

BELLEVILLE WEST 16, CALHOUN 1: West scored five runs in the first, eight in the second, one in the third, and two in the fourth to take the win over Calhoun.

Matte Grasle had a hit and the only RBI for the Warriors, while Layna Locgnecker and Conley Klocke had the other hits. Riley Pohlman and Grasle both struck out one each in the circle.

The Maroons are now 15-11.

COLUMBIA 8, TRIAD 5: In a game during a cluster at O’Fallon, Columbia scored four runs in the third and sixth innings to take the win over Triad.

Alli Lintz had three hits and two RBIs for the Knights, while Olivia Zitta struck out five in the circle.

The Eagles are now 19-8 on the season.

TRIAD 6, O’FALLON 2: The two sides traded runs in the second, then Triad scored two runs in the fifth and three in the sixth to take the lead in their second game of the cluster.

Nemsky Chatham had three hits and an RBI for the Knights, while Abby Harper went all the way in the circle, fanning four.

Triad is now 17-11 with the Panthers going to 15-10.

QUINCY 6, GRANITE CITY 2: Quincy scored once in both the first and seventh innings, along with two in both the fourth and fifth, to win over Granite City at the Nelson Hagnauer Sports Complex.

Chloe Randolph had two hits for the Warriors and also struck out six in a complete game in the circle.

The Blue Devils are now 12-15, while Granite goes to 4-18.

In other games played on Saturday, Belleville West edged Mt. Vernon 2-1, Columbia got past O’Fallon 1-0, Red Bud won twice, defeating Tuscola 12-1, and won over McLeansboro Hamilton County 5-1, and Mt. Vernon won over Hardin Calhoun 3-1.
