Prosecutors also filed a juvenile delinquency petition against the second teenage suspect and are seeking to move that suspect from juvenile court to adult criminal court.

Davis and a 15-year-old co-defendant are accused of shooting seven people, killing five of them, authorities said.

One victim was killed at a home at North 39th Street and Summit Avenue, and three others were killed at a home in the Samuel Gompers Housing Development. The five people who died were identified as Devin D. May, 24; Quentin L. Thompson, 21; Shania W. Thompson, 25; Patricia A. May, 74, and Cherie L. May, 49.

According to the charges, Davis cut off Patricia May’s right thumb. He is charged with one count of dismembering a human body. No motive has been given for the killings or the alleged dismemberment. Authorities have said one of the suspects is related to at least one of the victims, but police and prosecutors have not said which suspect or which victim.
