EDWARDSVILLE — Lainey McFarlin will continue her basketball career at Greenville University after finishing a high school career marked by scoring production and a strong return from a serious injury.
Edwardsville Athletic Director Amy Boscolo said McFarlin made “a lasting impact” on the program and ended her career with 620 points and 125 three-pointers.
She also said McFarlin returned for the final games of her senior season after a late-summer ACL injury prior to the 2025-2026 girls basketball campaign.
“Lainey McFarlin has made a lasting impact on our program with her ability to score and compete,” Boscolo said. “She finished her career with 620 points and 125 three-pointers. After overcoming a late summer ACL injury, Lainey returned to the court for the final games of her senior season, showing determination and resilience.”
The athletic director closed by saying: “We are excited to see her continue at Greenville University.”
