GLEN CARBON – The Riverbend’s latest child solicitation suspect is now in custody following an online predator sting operation and arrest by Glen Carbon Police.
Kyle V. Green, 43, of O’Fallon, Ill., was charged on Aug. 7, 2026 with one count each of traveling to meet a minor (a Class 3 felony), indecent solicitation of a child, solicitation to meet a child, and grooming (each Class 4 felonies).
From Aug. 4-6, 2026, Green allegedly used the dating application Jaumo to solicit someone he believed was a 13-year-old girl to engage in an act of sexual conduct and traveled to meet with the child for an unlawful purpose at the ZX gas station in Glen Carbon.
According to the state’s petition to deny Greens’ pretrial release from custody in this case, Green had been “talking for a few days with a decoy that he believed to be a 13-year-old female” about explicit sexual acts and meeting at various local businesses.
The group Online Predator Intervention took credit for the sting operation that lead to Green’s Glen Carbon arrest in a recent social media post. This marks the group’s latest involvement in a local child solicitation sting following the arrests of Glen Carbon resident Michael W. Beland and Missouri resident James K. Nelson in Alton.
The petition in Green’s latest case notes he is a registered sex offender currently on federal lifetime probation for a prior sex offense.
Green had previously plead guilty to one count each of attempted receipt of child pornography and travel with the intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct in federal court in the Eastern District of Missouri. Green was sentenced to nearly six years in prison after requesting explicit photographs of a believed 14-year-old child who he attempted to meet at a Brentwood, Mo. hotel before being arrested following an undercover investigation by St. Louis County Police.
Green was also the subject of a 2019 sting operation by KTS Predator Hunters in which he arranged to meet two believed 14-year-old girls at the McDonald’s in Caseyville, Ill. This was two years before Kyle Swanson, founder of KTS Predator Hunters, was indicted by a Madison County Grand Jury on charges of unlawful restraint, obstruction of justice, and assault in relation to his actions with the organization.
All individuals charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
