Man Dies After Fairgrounds Shooting In North St Louis

ST. LOUIS – A man in his 30s died after a shooting late Thursday, Aug. 20, 2026, in the Fairgrounds neighborhood in St. Louis, where District 6 officers responded to the 4100 block of North Grand after a call for a shooting, police said.

Officers arrived around 10:20 p.m. and found the man on Penrose beneath an older brown F-150. He was conscious and breathing and had suffered a gunshot wound.

EMS took the man to a hospital for life-saving treatment, but he later died.

Homicide detectives were called to the scene and took over the investigation.
