SWANSEA — Soulcial Kitchen will host its monthly Block Party for Good in both Swansea and Alton on Friday, September 25. Neighbors can receive free groceries courtesy of the St. Louis Area Foodbank, access free health care resources, and enjoy freshly prepared food truck meals at no cost.
Swansea: The gathering begins at 1:30 p.m. CT at Soulcial Park, 127 Northbelt East, with food from It’s a Wrap food truck.
Alton: The gathering begins at 2:30 p.m. CT at Soulcial Square, Market and Fifth Streets, with food from Da Boot food truck.
The St. Louis Area Foodbank’s Food on the Move trailer offers a walk-through, shopping-style grocery distribution where neighbors can choose the foods they need. The Foodbank lists grocery hours of 2:00–3:30 p.m. in Swansea and 2:30–4:00 p.m. in Alton. No verification of personal information is required for the grocery distribution.
“These gatherings bring practical help and a warm welcome together,” said Tony Fuhrmann, Soulcial Kitchen board member. “Neighbors can choose groceries, connect with health care resources and enjoy a meal from local food trucks. That is what caring for one another looks like in action.”
All are welcome. Food and groceries are available while supplies last.
