MARYVILLE — Ella Harrison’s double-double powered Maryville Christian to a two-set volleyball victory over Marquette Catholic on Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2026, in Maryville, lifting the Lions to 15-4 overall and 7-1 in the conference.
Maryville Christian won the first set 25-13 and the second set 25-23.
Harrison finished with 10 kills and 10 digs in the 2-0 win. Kinsley Ballard added nine kills and nine digs, while Kylie Moses recorded 15 assists.
Marquette Catholic fell to 12-11 overall and 3-4 in conference play. Senior Reese Bechtold led the Explorers’ kill totals with five, while senior Ari Davenport recorded six assists. Alex Stephan had 16 serve receives and four digs.
Marquette Catholic won the junior varsity match in three sets.
Maryville Christian hosts Collinsville on Thursday, Oct. 1, before traveling to Metro East Lutheran on Oct. 6. Marquette will compete in the Riverton Fall Classic on Oct. 2-3, opening against Riverton at 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2.
