Margaret Ann Farmer, 84, of Granite City, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Illinois. She was born on Christmas Day, December 25, 1941, in Galesburg, Illinois, to the late Maurice and Louise (Hartford) Enlow.
Margaret never met a stranger. She enjoyed her work in accounts payable at Devan Sealant in St. Louis, Missouri, and loved settling in to watch her favorite game shows. She had a soft spot for cats, especially strays that needed someone to take them in. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, and she took particular delight in spoiling her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed as a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.
Margaret is survived by her son, Bill Farmer of Granite City, Illinois, and her beloved grandchildren, Riley (Michaela) Anderson, Zach Parks, Sammi Parks and Harper Farmer, dear great-granddaughter, Everleigh Anderson, She also leaves behind dear nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her daughter, Anna Parks, and her siblings, Robert Enlow and Marian DeWitt.
In keeping with Margaret’s wishes, she will be cremated. A gathering to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.
